This is a Black AND White issue… it’s also a Liberal AND Conservative issue.
But it’s not a light AND darkness issue, nor a truth AND lie issue… Let’s choose TRUTH & LIGHT for 2021. (And it will take some free speech like MLK practiced to be able to achieve this.)
Let’s protect our rights to free speech so thought leaders like MLK can continue to challenge the status quo. His call to peaceful demonstration WITHOUT violence could speak to all of us in 2021, Black AND White, Liberal AND Conservative… let’s get it together people (in the name of truth AND light), and not let social media’s portrayal of “different truths” lead us further apart. A thought question for us all on MLK Day. How can you take a stand to protect free speech… even the free speech of those you may not always agree with, because isn’t that ALL of US? We can do better than this America… and we must if our (free) country is to survive.
It’s the power of the “AND…” not the control of the extremes that keep us both the land of the free AND the home of the brave. I’m thankful for leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. who were both willing AND able to speak up!
